I have done business with Made in America Made in Japan, three times now. They saved me from wasting my time trying to fix a 93' Camry with a blown head gasket (Howe location when it was open), smog tested my car in 2016 (Sunrise location), and just this year tested my bimmer for head gasket leaks (I street location). They have excellent guys at all the locations I have been to. I would strongly recommend visiting them if you need an inspection, smog check, or any work done to a car.

Simply the best! I trust them and appreciate how honest they are and try to get your repairs done in a timely manner.

I have been going to Made in America (MIA) (Made in Japan (MIJ)) for several years. And I keep going back. The owner, Phil, is very responsive, and honest. The mechanics are talented and experienced. Not the cheapest repair shop, however quality costs. And a poorly-done repair, or using cheaper parts, is not a quality repair, and likely will not last as long. If you want your vehicle to be reliable, this is a repair and maintenance shop to go to.

The owner (Phil) took the time needed to determine the actual repairs the car needed. It was a very extensive list but, he helped us prioritize the things needed to be done. He kept us in the loop as the repairs progressed and thankfully discovered a replacement pump he installed was defective before returning the car to us. We would highly recommend his shop.

The service was close to my home and transit access. Providing a loaner car comes with a fee (quoted as $27 from Enterprise). There was a fairly hefty charge for the computer assessment (my former mechanic in the Bay Area had never charged me to hook up my car to the computer evaluator device...something that always took him about 5 minutes to do). Phil was friendly and accommodated me when I asked him to show me the "chemical clean out" areas he conducted on my car. I was relieved not to have had to replace the hybrid battery...and I have new windshield wipers. The service was pricey for what I received, but the convenience to my house and transit and Phil's friendliness may make me a return customer.
