The last time I was in this shop at 12th & I streets, back in 1992, I bought a set of tires from the business that once occupied this space. I'm very glad that MIJ/MIA is in this location. I am really, really pleased with the quality of the work at this shop. I brought my 93 Toyota pickup in, with it's 371,000+ miles on the clock, to sort out some nagging oil leaks. They found and repaired leaks at the valve cover, oil pan, and the real main seal. After consultation, given the transmission had to be pulled for the rear main seal replacement, they also replaced the clutch and flywheel. They also took care of a few suspension items (stabilizer bar bushings and links, an idler arm on the passenger side, and the rear motor mount under the transmission)- and from a mechanical standpoint, I have a truck that feels and drives like it's brand new (it's got plenty of character dings, and isn't going to win a Concourse any time soon- but it's pretty good for a garage beater truck). Best part is that I have no qualms about parking it anywhere, as it's incontinence has been cured! I was so pleased I brought the truck back this week to get the factory air conditioning sorted- and they converted and upgraded the AC system, and I now get 38º air at the vents. Highly recommended- great follow up from Phil at the counter, and the folks doing the work in the shop do really great work, and they have my thanks. I'll bring the toy truck back next time I am in need of service!
Thanks Bruce! We'd like to say thanks to you and all our customers! Phil and crew.
